The Composting Plant Ganderkesee
The composting plant in Ganderkesee has been processing the carefully sorted biodegradable waste of the county of Oldenburg since 1993, and since 1994 that of the town of Delmenhorst as well. In September 2003 the ownership of the composting plant changed over to [k]nord GmbH with headquarters in Ganderkesee.
Around 30.000 Mg per year of organic waste, tree and bush cuttings, garden waste and other biodegradable material are being recycled into high calorific BIOFERM®-Quality Compost. The RAL-Certificate, awarded to us by the Bundesgütegemeinschaft Kompost, the federal composting quality assurance agency, gives our customers the piece of mind of obtaining a high quality, hygienically sound product with outstanding fertilisation qualities.

As a provider of integrated environmental services [k]nord also receives recyclable commercial waste and hazardous waste on the premises of the plant in Ganderkesee.
With the newly developed Hazardous Waste Collection Point (Problemmüllsammelstelle – PROSA) and Recycling Yard, Oldenburg County created on our premises a centrally located and convenient facility for the wider community.
Commercial customers should use our EWC-catalogue to obtain information about the wide range of materials our plant can process. In cooperation with our waste disposal services division [k]nord is able to offer you feasible solutions to almost any waste disposal problem.
