Recycling yard
The Recycling Yard and the Hazardous Waste Collection Point (Problemmüllsammelstelle – PROSA) of Oldenburg County is located on the site of our composting plant. Household materials suitable for recycling can be delivered to this site.
Recyclable materials accepted free of charge are:
Paper, cardboard, glass, scrap metal (washing machines, tumble dryers, dishwashers, ovens, microwaves), electric waste, corks and recycling bags of the Dual System Germany (Duales System Deutschland).
As an alternative to the usual collection of bulky refuse, we accept up to 1 m3 of bulky refuse per household provided you fill in the bulky refuse card. Polystyrene will only be accepted in small quantities and wrapped in the designated yellow bags.
Bulky refuse that exceeds the accepted quantity as well as tyres (without rims), untreated wood cuttings, building debris, refrigerators and deep freezers are accepted for a fee.
Hazardous Waste Collection Point of Oldenburg County
We only accept moderate quantities as they typically accumulate in a household! These are: poisonous substances, alkaline solutions, acids, paint, lacquers, cleaning solutions, batteries, solvents, medications, pesticides, residues containing tar and oil and other chemicals.
Fire extinguishers cannot be accepted.
